Douglas Price
Doug Price is a native of Montrose, with family history that dates back five generations in Colorado’s agricultural and ranching communities.  He was the first in his family to attend college, graduating from the University of Colorado. While still at school, he began to work in banking; over the next 20 years, he rose through the ranks from teller to President of FirstBank Colorado.
In1999, motivated to pursue his passion for early childhood issues, Mr. Price left banking and worked with Buell and other Colorado foundations to establish Educare/Qualistar, a nonprofit that pioneered a standardized rating system for childcare facilities that was a predecessor to Colorado’s current licensing system managed by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood.
In 2009, Mr. Price became the CEO of Rocky Mountain PBS (RMPBS). Over the next seven years, RMPBS saw exponential growth in its membership and income, making it the largest membership organization in Colorado. During his tenure, Mr. Price was awarded three Heartland Chapter Emmys for projects that examined the plight of disadvantaged populations and women in our culture and economy.
Since 2016, Mr. Price has served as Chairman and CEO of CSBO Holdings at Citizens State Bank in Ridgway. He also has twice served on the Board of the Iliff School of Theology because its mission to shape the culture in positive ways is deeply meaningful to him.
