Maggie Morrissey

Maggie Morrissey is a third-generation Coloradan who was born and raised in Denver before attending Sarah Lawrence College in New York. She also graduated from the College for Financial Planning in Colorado.

Known for her civic-mindedness and volunteerism, Ms. Morrissey has served as a trustee on the boards of the Denver Cooperative Preschool, Stanley British Primary School, Kent Denver School, and the Advisory Board of the Denver School of Science and Technology.

Ms. Morrissey has additionally served on or chaired the boards of many community nonprofits: Rose Andom Center, National Domestic Violence Hotline, Denver Justice Council, Park People, Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Wright-Ingraham Institute, and OpenWorld Learning. She has facilitated public relations, led fundraising, and chaired or co-chaired events for these organizations as well as for the International Institute of Education, Stellar Women, and the National Western Stock Show’s annual Citizen of the West Awards.

Ms. Morrissey has been bestowed the following awards: COVA (Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance), 2014 Exemplary Leadership Award; Safehouse Denver, 2016 Carolyn Hamil-Henderson Memorial Award; Rose Andom Center, 2017 Community Leadership Award; and David J. Cole Denver Public Safety Citizens Award in 2019.

She is married to Mitch Morrissey, CFO of United Data Connect and the former Denver District Attorney. Together they spearheaded two ballot initiatives, a bond issue, and three political campaigns during his 12 years in office. They have two grown children and she enjoys tending her gardens in her free time.
