Senior Program Officer, Supervisor

Lesa Nesbit

Lesa Nesbit is a Senior Program Officer, Supervisor with the Buell Foundation. She is responsible for supervising new staff that join the program team. In addition, she manages all aspects of the grant review process and cultivating relationships with nonprofit organizations that promote the Foundation’s work. Lesa has worked in a variety of industries, including nonprofit, corporate, and educational organizations. She has a well-rounded background of providing direct services to families and managing nonprofit programs. Before joining the Buell Foundation, she worked for Families First, the March of Dimes Foundation for the Colorado/Wyoming Chapters, and Clayton Early Learning.

Lesa has a Master’s degree in Administrative Leadership and Policy Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, both from the University of Colorado at Denver. She has also completed the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program. She is an alum with the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Network and serves on their Buell Leaders Council.

Outside of work, Lesa serves as a member on the Bethany Christian Services of Colorado’s board, enjoys spending time with her family, pets, gardening, and being outside appreciating nature.
