Director of Programs

Marion Batayte

Marion Batayte is the Director of Programs for the Buell Foundation, where she provides leadership and oversight across the Foundation’s responsive grantmaking, grant management, and evaluation functions.

Marion has dedicated more than 20 years to advancing early childhood and family support systems across Colorado. She joined the Buell Foundation following more than a decade at Parent Possible, where she served as Deputy Director and led statewide program operations, compliance, and evaluation while helping guide strategic initiatives supporting Colorado’s Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters and Parents as Teachers networks. Prior to that, Marion served as Director of Operations at Colorado Bright Beginnings (now Lantern), where she spent ten years strengthening the quality and effectiveness of home visitation programs across the state. She began her career in direct service roles with the Colorado Department of Corrections, Gemini Shelter, and Hear Now. Marion earned a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder and an A.S. in American Sign Language Interpretation.

A Colorado native, Marion enjoys hiking with her husband and their crazy border collie and spending time with her son, who is pursuing a finance degree at Montana State University.
