EPIC recently collaborated with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, Department of Early Childhood and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade to release a vital resource for communities addressing child care shortages. This introductory learning series will guide users to understand the critical need for child care facilities in Colorado, highlight opportunities to support these needs, and inform key elements of design requirements, development processes and funding sources.
The New Child Care Facility Development Toolkit is a five-session video series serves as a self-guided resource to provide strategic guidance on developing child care facilities at the local level. It is designed to help local governments, affordable housing developers, child care providers and community members expand access to child care in Colorado by supporting the construction, renovation and expansion of facilities.
