The Institute for the Advancement of Family Support Professionals, an organization focused on strengthening home visiting and human service programs across the country, collaborated with nonprofit partners and elected officials to organize the event. NHVW garnered bipartisan support as U.S. Senators Chuck Grassley (R–Iowa) and Mark Warner (D–Virginia) issued a proclamation to highlight the importance of home visiting.
Making Home Visiting Week official in Colorado, Governor Polis issued the proclamation for it on April 10, 2025.
