Stacy N. Howard is a Program Officer and the Manager of Behavioral Health Strategy at the Buell Foundation. She is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a robust behavioral health funding strategy for young children and their families.

Stacy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She pursued her graduate degrees from Florida State University in Tallahassee and began her career in the early childhood field in 2000. Stacy earned both a Master’s and Doctorate Degree from the FSU College of Human Sciences, Department of Family and Child Sciences. She has worked in a variety of settings in Florida and Colorado, including academia, nonprofit organizations, state level government, and a trade association. Her work in the early childhood field has focused on the areas of prevention and early intervention, school readiness, universal pre-kindergarten, quality rating and improvement systems, professional development, and systems-building. She brings a unique blend of research, policy, and programmatic expertise.

Stacy stays busy outside of the office with her family. She has three sons with her husband and also one dog, two frogs, three guinea pigs, and four fish. They love the outdoors and can regularly be found exploring new parks and trails.
