Sarah Pompelia is an Associate Program Officer at the Buell Foundation. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the grant review process and cultivating relationships with nonprofit organizations that promote the Foundation’s work. Prior to joining the Buell Foundation she was a Policy Analyst at Education Commission of the States working on a range of education policy issues. She started her career as an elementary school teacher.
Sarah earned a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Policy at the University of Denver. Her degrees focused on the intersecting systems and policies impacting children and families. She also has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Psychological Services from Northwestern University.
In her free time, Sarah loves spending time outside with her husband and dog or in a cozy spot reading.
